Tornamagno Marche Rosso I.G.T. 75cl (2020) COLONNARA

A noble and important wine that has been produced since 1985, a winner of some of the highest awards in the world over the years. The Tornamagno is made from Montepulciano and Sangiovese grapes, harvested by hand, then processed in steel tanks for 24 months and finally kept in small oak casks for at least 12 months, followed by further ageing in bottles. Limpid yet with an intense ruby red colour and garnet red reflections, its bouquet is intense and persistent, fine, ample, and fruity with notes of mature fruit and jam. Floral hints of petals and withered red flowers also emerge with its dry, warm and soft taste. It is quite fresh, sufficiently tannic, robust, yet balanced and harmonious, and is best enjoyed with flavoursome meat or pasta dishes, or even with mature cheeses.
