Le Vigne di Sammarco introduced their "classic" range with the aim of producing quality wines at competitively low prices, and they are doing a superb job of it. This Salice Salentino presents a ruby red colour enhanced with purple reflections, and an opulent bouquet with reminiscent scents of ripe cherry and plum, and pleasant notes of cocoa and vanilla. In the mouth it is well-structured and soft thanks to the sweet tannins. Perfect when paired with flavoursome first courses, lamb and game with rich sauces, or even with mature cheeses.
