Pinot Noir 75cl (2016) MOUNT RILEY

This 2016 Pinot Noir is a blend sourced from multiple vineyard sites throughout the Wairau Valley in Marlborough. The diversity of grape source and clonal material resulted in a complex and complete wine with a great fruity character and depth of flavour, with the added assistance of small parcel fermentation as well as nine months ageing in French barriques. The wine has a mesmirising red colour with garnet-ruby hues and a bouquet of great red fruit influence plus hints of dried herbs. Approachable, elegant, soft tannins and delicious red fruit flavours of great length make this a great wine as an aperitif or with chicken, salmon, game, red meat or pasta dishes. Will drink well now or even up until 2021.
