The Cantina dei Vini Tipici dell'Aretino is historically renowned for its importance in wine-growing, with references emerging in the texts of the Bishop of Arezzo where he spoke of "canonical churches with large lands of planted vines". The ancient wine-making traditions have been enriched and enhanced over the years - this wine being a great example. It has brilliant clarity, with its bright ruby red colour that tends to garnet with ageing, and a vinous bouquet which is distinctive and delicate. On the tongue there is a fine balance between fruit and acidity, slightly tannic, and with a medium body and texture, yet pleasantly round. Enjoy this wine with any meal, especially Tuscan starters, risotto, pasta or meat dishes.
